Laboratories for Computer sciences

The Computer Science department has 5 well equipped labs having Pentium IV (with 17" monitors) machines running Windows XP and Linux. These labs are being routinely updated to meet the growing needs of the students and the faculty. The computers in the labs are networked through Intranet and Internet access is available to students.

3 Teaching/ Instructional Labs

Practical application of software tools/ technologies, in order to facilitate the course work of the students, is as important as imparting them with the theoretical knowledge. Implementation and execution of these techniques are carried out in the Instruction Labs, under watchful supervision of the course instructor

There are 65 PCs in 3 labs having same configuration as:
P-IV computers, 3 GHz, 40 GB Hard Disk, 256 MB RAM ,DVD drive

1 Multimedia Lab

It is a high-end Graphic and Multimedia Lab consisting of all specialized multimedia tools . The Multimedia Lab assists the students in research, development and practical application of multimedia activities, under watchful supervision of the course instructor .

There are 14 PCs having same configuration as:
P-IV computers, 3 GHz Processor,40 GB Hard Disk , 256 MB RAM

1 Project Lab

The Advance Computer Lab, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, is used only by those students who are in their final semester and require an extensive use of computers for the completion of their final projects.

There are 15 PCs having same configuration as:
P-IV, 3 GHz, 40 GB Hard Disk, 256 MB RAM
